"On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Relating to Social Protection of Persons Awarded the Order of the Heroes of the Heaven's Hundred"

The Law supplements Article 11 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, and Guarantees of Their Social Protection" with a new provision, according to which persons with special services to the Motherland also include persons awarded the order of the Heroes of the Heaven's Hundred.

Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, and Guarantees of Their Social Protection" establishes privileges for persons with special services to the Motherland.

Amendments to Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, and Guarantees of Their Social Protection" establish the following:
  • the spouse and parents of deceased persons who had been awarded the order of the Heroes of the Heaven's Hundred remain exempt from apartment rent payment regardless of the form of ownership of the residential fund, payment for utilities (water supply, sewers, gas, power, hot water, central heating, and in buildings without central heating, provision of fuel within the norms established for sale to the population, and other types of utility services), payment for liquefied bottled gas for household needs, payment for telephone landline and for non-departmental residential security alarm, regardless of the form of ownership of the residential fund;
  • the deceased (killed) person awarded the order of the Heroes of the Heaven's Hundred is entitled to a free burial.

The Law also amends Article 1, paragraph 1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Pensions for Special Services to Ukraine", establishing that pensions for special services to Ukraine are also established for citizens of Ukraine awarded with the order of Heroes of the Heaven's Hundred.
