On General Structure and Quantity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

The Law approves the following structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine:
1)        central management body Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
2)        state departments within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine as governmental bodies of public administration by certain directions of activity, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
3)        main departments, departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine  in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, oblasts, Kyiv and Sevastopol, administrations and departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on transport;
4)        city, district administrations and departments, line departments, divisions, points;
5)        subdivisions of judicial police;
6)        subdivisions of local police;
7)        units, military units, subdivisions, institutions of internal forces;
8)        learning institutions, research and development institutions, enterprises and provisional institutions.
The general quantity of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (with the exception of the internal forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine) is approved by the Law in the amount of 324,00 people, including 240,200 people of ordinary and managerial staff. In accordance with the law, 190,500 workers of the internal affairs bodies must be provided for by the State Budget of Ukraine.

The general quantity of the internal forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is approved by the Law in the amount of 44,000 people, including 42,300 servicemen. At the same time, the Law establishes that as of December 30, 2005, the quantity of the internal forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine must amount to 33,300 people, including 32,700 servicemen.
