On Protection of Economic Competition

This Law defines legal grounds for maintenance of and protection for economic competition, for limitation of monopoly in economic activities and shall be aimed at ensuring efficient functioning of the economy of Ukraine on the basis of developing competitive relations.

Chapters II and III highlight anti-competitive concerted actions of business entities, state bodies and local self-government bodies, bodies of administrative and economic management and control. The Law also defines the term monopoly (dominant) position of a business entity at the market.

The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine shall exercise state control over concentration of business entities.

This Law establishes the procedure for considering cases of violating legislation on protection for economic competition.

Article 50 of this Law defines which actions are considered to be transgressions of legislation on protection for economic competition.

This Law also stipulates the procedure for fulfillment, examination, review, appeal of decisions and orders issued by bodies of the Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine.
